oh, and the thing in his hand is a fools sceptre "ratsy". It is never defined whether the fool is male or female, but i have always seen him as male.
I decided to draw him as the fool, as, though he said that the other personas he played in the book were all facets of himself, i have always seen the fool as the main or 'true' personality of Beloved.
